What You'll Do

The accounting manager is a temporary position, with an expected duration of 4-6 months. During this time you will be an integral member of the Finance team, primarily responsible for conducting cost accounting functions, with a focus on cost standards for materials and landed cost elements. This role will compile cost projection models, analyze current cost trends and compare them against actual costs incurred. This individual will work cross functionally with other departments.

Duties include:

• Carrying out all day-to-day cost accounting functions.
• Compiling Freight, Tariff, and Royalty calculations.
• Analyzing inventory valuations.
• Analyzing inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
• Performing month-end close duties, including inventory valuation, FIFO Inventory reporting, PPV Evaluations, and overhead calculations and reconciliation.
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Preparation, review, and analysis of cost projections.
• Maintain record of current cost trends.
• Assist with evaluating control and compliance processes, implementation and documentation.
• Support the Controller and Credit Analyst with ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
• Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
• Background in Cost Accounting is preferred, but not required

Where You'll be Located

This is a hybrid position and will work out of our Hayward, CA office approximately 2 days/week.

What We'll Offer

We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $36.00/hour and $45.50/hour. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for insurance benefits for the duration of the temporary assignment. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you'll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
